CARGO TARIFF
|
A) IMPORT TARIFF
|
|
|
|
|
Free Period for Import Cargo shall be Three Working days(72HOURS) including the
Date of Arrival of Flight. For next Two Days i.e. 4th & 5th Day, Demurrage will
be charged at ‘per kg/per day’, non-cumulative basis provided the consignment
is taken delivery within 5 days of arrival. If delivery is affected after 5 days
from the date of arrival, the demurrage will accrue for the entire period from the
date of arrival of flight as follows:-
* A minimum charge irrespective of the volume of
consignment shipped shall be payable by any shipper/consignee at the rate approved
by AERA. Such minimum charge shall become due and payable by the shipper/consignee
from the date when the said charge shall come into effect.
Supplementary bill/invoice shall be raised for any differential amount, accordingly.

- Consignment of human remains, coffin including baggage of deceased
& Human eyes will be exempted from the purview of Terminal and Demurrage Charges.
- No separate Forklift Charges will be levied.
- Charges will be levied on the “gross weight” or the “chargeable
weight” of the consignment whichever is higher. Wherever the “gross
weight and /or volume weight is wrongly indicated on the Airway Bill and is actually
found more, charges will be levied on the ‘actual gross weight’ or ‘actual
volumetric weight’ or ‘chargeable weight’ whichever is higher.
- Special Import Cargo consists of cargo stored in cold storage, live
animal and hazardous goods.
- Valuable consingments means "Cargo with high declared value for example, Rare and precious metal such as Gold,
Platinum, Ridium, Rhodium, Ruthenium, Osmium and Palladium and their alloys/products; various precious Stones, Rubies, Emeralds,
Sapphires, Opal, Jade articles, Diamonds, Pearls and its jewellary/products; Watches made of Silver, Gold or Platinum,
Valuable Documents including Books, Paintings and Antiques etc; Currency Notes, Securities, Stamps and Articles that have
been declared with value of no less than 1000 US dollars per kilogram of gross weight"
- All the bills shall be rounded off to the nearest of Rs.5/-, as per
IATA Tact Rules book clause 5.7.2,the rounding off procedure, when the rounding
off unit is 5.

- Packing/repacking charges shall be levied as per existing rates.
- Service Tax and any other statutory taxes shall be levied extra as
per government notifications.

Due to persistent increase in cases of dishonoring of cheques received from the
CHAs / Consignees resulting into delivery of cargo without collection of dues besides
delaying availability of legitimate dues to CAL, it has been decided to levy penal
charge of 10% of payable dues or Rs. 1,000/- whichever is higher on each case of
dishonoring of cheque.

B) EXPORT TARIFF
|
|
|
|
* A minimum charge irrespective of the volume of
consignment shipped shall be payable by any shipper/consignee at the rate approved
by AERA. Such minimum charge shall become due and payable by the shipper/consignee
from the date when the said charge shall come into effect.
Supplementary bill/invoice shall be raised for any differential amount, accordingly.

- The free period for export cargo shall be one working day (24 Hrs)
for examination/processing by the shippers.
- 10% discount in the Terminal charges will be granted to Exporters
who opt for engaging their own loaders for offloading cargo from their vehicles
at Truck Dock and shifting to Custom Examination Area.
- Terminal charges applicable to Newspaper and TV reel consignments
shall be 50% of the prescribed charges.
- Consignment of human remains, coffin including baggage of deceased
& Human Eyes will be exempted from the purview of Terminal and Demurrage Charges.
- Terminal charges are inclusive of Forklift charges wherever Forklift
usage is involved. No separate Forklift charges will be levied.
- Special Cargo consists of live animals, hazardous goods, valuable
cargo and cargo stored in cold storage.
- Charges will be levied on the “gross weight” or the “chargeable
weight” of the consignment whichever is higher. Wherever the “gross
weight and /or volume weight is wrongly indicated on the Airway Bill and is actually
found more, charges will be levied on the ‘actual gross weight’ or ‘actual
volumetric weight’ whichever is higher.
- For misdeclaration of weight above 2% and up to 5% of declared weight
penal charges @ double the applicable Terminal charges will be levied. For variation
above 5% the penal charges will be leviable @ 5 times the applicable Terminal charges
of the differential weight. No penal charges will be levied for variation up to
and inclusive of 2%.This will not apply to valuable cargo.
